Thanks so much for writing—you aren’t the first person to point this out. 

You are right, flat bottom shoes like chucks are best for certain exercises.  I was trying to speak in generalities that the shoes you wear to the bar shouldn’t be the shoes you work out in. 

You obviously know what you are doing.  I think I underestimated our readership and their level of gym related knowledge.
