Anonymous asked: What's you guys' favorite winter boot?
T: I have to say Bean Boots or I will be kicked out of the menswear bloggers club. That would be a bummer because we have fondue at all of our meetings.

Anonymous asked: navy blue sportscoat with navy blue pants? Ever?
T: Not really. It would only work if one shade was much darker than the other. Otherwise, it looks like you are trying to create a suit that does not exist. Jeans are a slightly different story but if I was wearing a navy sportscoat, I would make sure to wear a pair of jeans that was VERY dark blue or light blue for the summer.
After a short break, expect MANY questions to be answered tomorrow.
T: Dress shoes in summer are so last year. For my birthday, my fiance bought me these. I will be working all summer and my wingtips need a rest. I don’t plan on wearing socks from now until Labor Day (mocsocks don’t count) and I plan on rocking these to my new job as often as I can.
Finally, you can never have enough boat shoes. I think this is my 4th pair of Top-Siders. Unlike my brown boat shoes, I haven’t seen anyone else in blacked-out Sperrys. However, I do currently live in Philadelphia where a tuxedo t-shirt is considered formal attire so I might not be up on all the trends.
Anonymous asked: Gonna get some Jack Purcell Converse for a generic sneaker because I can't afford Common Projects or Lanvin, yanno? That shit is not young money. I am torn between the two though...one is canvas, and the other is leather...

A: Common Projects are a waste of money. If you’re going to drop the much money on shoes, you might as well get some dress shoes. They’ll last much longer.
As far as your choice goes, I’d go with the canvas ones. I think leather sneakers usually look better with jeans and “heavier” pants, but since it’s summer and you’ll likely be wearing a lot of chinos and shorts, I think the canvas ones will serve you better. Plus, the leather ones will make your feet sweat like whoa in the summer.
Anonymous asked: T&A,
What's new in swim wear for 2011? I'm looking for just above the knee, slimmer leg, in the $25 and down range.
Thanks.
T: Not much is new in swim wear. Swim wear’s main functions are to keep your junk covered and to dry quickly. Almost all swim suits still do this.

A few tips for guys who plan on getting swim wear this summer:
1. The shorts should fall above the knee
2. No floral patterns
3. Unless you are fit, get a pair that does not have elastic in the waistband (unless you are trying to show off your muffin top).
4. Don’t spend a lot of money—they won’t last long no matter what you do
I like the pair here for 35 bones. Anyone else got some ideas on the cheap?
aarongilson asked: Have either of you come across a Vassar (colors) regimental?
This ugliness is the closest Ive been able to find: http://amzn.com/B00273D1KE
Aaron,
I got nothing. The only thing I could find was the terrible redish one Tony made us wear in England with all the crests on it.
